Delphic Scholarship

In 2008, Mrs. Anne L. Jones established the Delphic Scholarship in memory of her husband, the late William D. “Billy” Jones who passed away in 2007.  It was at that time any member of the Delphics were invited to contribute to this memorial scholarship.

The goal was to reach an endowment of $20,000. And as Delphics are want to do, seventeen  members stepped up as well as one brother’s spouse, two members of other fraternities and of course, Anne Jones.  As of July 2008, there was total of $25,325 in gifts and pledges and in no time, the target endowment of $20,000 was met.

One of the two members of the other fraternities, successful businessman and philanthropist, Ron Burbick, who was a member of the Epsilons agreed to match what each Delphic or anyone else who donated or pledged to the scholarship.

This effort was pivotable to the creation of the Delphic Alumni Association.
